Technical conference services
Simultaneous translation is a kind of parallel translation, whereby speech is translated into, foreign languages and then transmitted to the audience in the conference room via wireless electronic equipment.
Main advantages of this solution are:
- good sound quality,
- freedom of moving about the room,
- relatively high level of confidentiality as IR transmission does not penetrate walls.
Each conference participant is equipped with a personal IR receiver and a headset. It is possible to provide simultaneous interpretation into an unlimited number of target languages at the same time. AKON provides Philips professional interpretation equipment.

Rent Wireless Tour Guide systems
Our Tour Guide system is an easy-to-use wireless communication system designed specifically for tour groups, outdoor excursions, factory tours, employee training, language interpretation,
trade shows and conferences to communicate over distances as far as 50-100 meters in an open area.
Suggested Applications:
- tourism : for tour groups. The wireless system is suitable for indoor and outdoor use and allows a visitor to move around freely during the entire visit,
- business : perfect for factory tours when the level of the noise is too big
- interpretation: our system allows the indoor and outdoor language interpretation
Our Tour Guide system is ideally suitable as a tour guide system in which a certain audio and voice source is to be distributed to one or more receivers.

- Our system is licence-free and generally approved for operation in EU and EFTA countries.
Sound system
At almost all conferences, sound systems are required, even if the venue and the number of participants are small. Lack of a proper sound system makes the speakers and most conference participants feel less comfortable due to weak or improper sound distribution.

- aid in handling cordless microphones (e.g. hostesses),

This sound system pattern is most commonly used at conference venues where the audience sit facing the stage (cinema room layout). The system may be coupled with various types of equipment acting as a sound source, like computers, CD and DVD players and others.

This sound system pattern is most commonly used at conference venues where the audience sit at the tables. The system is based on conference panel (so called multi-phones)

A mixed system comprises the two systems described above. This system is most commonly used during large and complex conferences, often taking place in a number of rooms.
The system is also used when the conference board is equipped with the conference debate system and the rest of the audience, sitting in a cinema or classroom arrangement, use the standard sound system.

Interpreting:
There are different kinds of conference interpreting:
Simultaneous interpreting
The name is taken from French, where simultané means parallel. The interpretation takes place in a booth. The speaker uses a microphone to make it possible for the interpreter to listen to the source text via his or her headphones and interpret the text almost instantly using a microphone in the booth. The participants use receivers and head-sets in order to listen to the interpretation
Consecutive interpreting
The basic distinction when compared to other types of interpretation is that the interpreter first listens to a sentence or a number of sentences, then the speaker makes a pause for the interpreter to provide translation in the target language. Depending on the conference subject and the length of the meeting, interpretation is provided by one or two interpreters. With a greater number of conference participants, it is necessary to use a sound system.
Whispered interpretation
The interpreter sits next to the participant or a small group of participans providing interpretation whispering straight into the ear. This form of simultaneous translation is used at short meetings when it is not possible to use any kind of electronic equipment.
